Was anyone planning to mention that Beach House was playing in LA next week? I mean, there are seriously WAY too many decent shows coming up within the next four weeks, and I will probably have to miss some of them but not this one! Jeesh! I’m glad I found it. Beach House are about to take off for some dates in the UK, but they’re making a couple stops before they do – one is at Spaceland with Lazarus and Shugo Tokumaru on September 30th. I won’t pretend to have extensive knowledge of either supporting act, but I will admit that I did try to remedy that, since last time I saw them Beach House played with Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti. SO I did a little research. Lazarus and Shugo Tokumaru are both TOTALLY worthy of the bill. In fact, I might go as far as to say that they shouldn’t be supporting, but perhaps headlining. This is definitely a show that I’ll say I’m gonna go to, and I will probably actually end up going! Since I’ve gushed about Beach House several times before and I don’t really feel like explaining much about the others until you listen, my work here is done.
