Yeasayer in L.A. this week
Posted on April 20, 2008 | 7 CommentsI never expect anything new to be even borderline decent, so when c4 threw up that Free Blood post and included a track from Yeasayer on the end, I didn't expect to dig it as much as I did. Yeasayer is Anand Wilder, Chris Keating, Ira Wolf Tuton, Luke Fasano, and they are definitely more than decent. They make like, what Bollywood and Tinariwen would've collaboratively contributed to new wave -

I'm not really sure if I've been living in a hole or what have you, but this band has like 15 releases and I'd never heard them until a few nights ago when this kid who totally shoulda been my high school sweetheart posted the video for 'Burgers' on MySpace. I've included it here because it's the least embarrassing (or most accessible) of the 12341234123 videos on their website you can watch/download/laugh at/use to find the deeper meaning of life:
