The Dum Dum Girls
Posted on April 1, 2010 | 1 CommentUnsurprisingly, we think you should head on over to their site for reals and give it a listen because the media player in that post is way cooler than this one. FYI, we kinda love this band for more than just the stupid cat photo, sweet name, pretty sick video. We'll fill you in on all the other stuff when we figure out what it is.

Cunt Sparrer – ‘Because You’re Young’
Posted on March 8, 2010 | 3 CommentsSo somebody sent me this a couple weeks ago and I've heard some mixed criticism - people either don't like this chick's voice, get pissed because they "destroyed" a Cock Sparrer song, or totally love it (like I do). I was having some drama and this shit kinda brought me to tears. Maybe it isn't as good as I think it is and I was just in a "mood" if you will - I've listened to it since then and I still kinda like it but I'm interested in your opinion. What do you think? -
Hey That’s Andrew Bird! “No it’s not! It’s Dr. Stringz!”
Posted on February 5, 2010 | 2 CommentsThe headline of this post was taken from a conversation I had with my 5 year old nephew about 5 minutes ago. Here I am on a Friday night, updating the website while babysitting the sister's kid. He's watching Nick Jr. and eating fruitsnacks and was pretending to watch Nick Jr. too, but only paying attention to about 10% of this show with these puppets that isn't Sesame Street or Fraggle Rock or the Muppets. -
Band To Watch: Sunglasses – Whiplash
Posted on February 1, 2010 | 1 Comment8000 bam bam (Samuel Cooper) & Baby Seal (Brady Keehn) first started working together at Savannah College of Art and Design during the post production stage of Samuel's senior thesis film, MILES. Their relationship was strictly dealing with dialogue and the mixing of original songs for the short film, in which Brady was the Post Sound Supervisor. Eventually having completed MILES, the two had worked so well together on the last project that starting a new one only made sense. Thus SUNGLASSES was born. These dudes totally remind us of one of Aunt Dracula who were one of our most favoritist Fantastic Picks from like 2009 or 2008. Definitely not the same dudes, but definitely the same level of awesome. -

Posted on January 5, 2010 | No CommentsWe at the weapon definitely dig Warpaint, and we're also pretty stoked to hear that we're gonna get to see 'em with Yeasayer next month. The rest of the country gets 'em with Akron/Family which ain't too shabby, either. Dig some tunes and videos and -

They were one of the pioneering groups of the Madchester movement that was active during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Dirty, Rotten, Scandalous: Dope Boy Allstars
Posted on December 30, 2009 | No CommentsThe fuck is a dope boy allstar? Ehhh urban dictionary likes to give the following definition: A Dope Boy All Star is any person who distributes illicit substances. The term is most often used to describe a young male that excels at selling to a specific geographic area or neighbourhood, and most likely moves hard drugs (ex. cocaine, crack), as well as the standard marijuana and prescription pills. A 'Dope Boy All Star' IS the hood entrepreneur. -

Posted on December 23, 2009 | 1 CommentYou've all heard both of these songs already, and we probably woulda posted them ages ago had it not been for STUPID *****host breaking our FREAKING servers every other day. Anyway, Beach House and Yeasayer are 2 of our very favorite current artists here at the weapon and they're both gearing up for new releases in early 2010. STOKED! -

Posted on December 19, 2009 | 1 CommentUntil pretty recently I had no idea what "ABC BBD" actually meant. I'm not sure where the epiphany came from but it came just the same, so enter another (late) version of the Flashback Friday post, featuring The East Coast Family. Howcome nothing sounds like this anymore? Happy Saturday.
