Zed’s Dead Remixes – Sublime, Rolling Stones, Radiohead [MP3]
Posted on April 18, 2011 | No CommentsIt’s been a while since yall heard from me. I apologize. I’m gonna keep this one real short and to the point. Zed’s Dead is a dubstep production duo from Canada. Their song “1975″ is currently climbing the hype machine charts and was featured in... -
Sugar & Gold: Get on Yr Danse-ing Shoes
Posted on April 17, 2010 | No CommentsA band name like Sugar & Gold may conjure up some sort of image of party-rockers, prone to disco freakouts and fun times. In the case of this particular band, that mental visage certainly holds true. See that picture up there? Yeah, that’s the kind... -
Neon Indian – Psychic Chasms
Posted on October 20, 2009 | 3 CommentsOk, so you’ve heard it, I’ve heard it; it’s been all over the blogosphere lately. The hip thing for the past 3-6 months has been chillwave. You know what I mean, hopefully: indie pop music of the more “laid-back” variety. It was absolutely huge this summer, with its hazy undertones and minimalist grooves. M.A.U. = Portugese Goodness
Posted on September 22, 2009 | No CommentsJust got a stellar new track from the fellas in M.A.U., otherwise known as Man and Unable. These gents are an electro-house duo from Portugal -- unless they're playing live, in which case they tack on another two members -- and are yet another reason why the Southern Hemisphere is bringing the heat in terms of excellent dance music (see also X-Wife, the Twelves, and almost anything on Modular). -
The Whip
Posted on May 18, 2009 | No CommentsOk, first off, the Whip is HIGHLY underrated. Honestly, it shocks me that either no one gives enough props to this band, or they don't seem to be getting the respect they deserve. Yet another one of those bands that should be bigger than they actually are. (But then again...

Passion Pit Remix Contest = Epic
Posted on May 2, 2009 | 2 CommentsPassion Pit is having a pretty creative remix contest for “Little Secrets” a single from their upcoming, monstrous-hype-generating full-length, Manners . Basically, you take the snippets they provide and build a remix. Then everyone votes and the top 5 get a spot on the vinyl,... -
Just A Band
Posted on April 26, 2009 | 1 CommentJust A Band is a electro-house duo (Tom Deluxx & stellA) from Bordeaux, France. These guys really aren't just another shitty Justice-wannabe. I promise. Honestly, they make some of the most exciting house you've heard in a while.

Simian Mobile Disco Likes Lights
Posted on April 23, 2009 | No CommentsSo I'm seeing Simian Mobile Disco tomorrow at Pure in Philadelphia. This is the same spot I saw Cut Copy at, and it was absolutely bat shit crazy. If you're in the area, I highly suggest coming out. The light show kinda looks like this:

We Got To Move These Refrigerators – The “Fuck A Job” Playlist
Posted on November 21, 2008 | No CommentsIf You Must Know, Here’s Where I’ve Been For The Past 3 Weeks: 1. Visiting a friend in Macomb, IL: 2. Promoting the crap out of Buzznet’s first Big Story. It was about Twilight. You can find it here: THE BIG STORY: Twilight 3. And... -
Monday Mixtape #7 – Four Days Late
Posted on October 30, 2008 | No CommentsI’ve been so busy lately I barely have time to sleep – sorry for neglecting you once again. Things’ll get back on track when I get back from Chicago in November. For now, dig my super rad half joke but mostly serious reggae/ska/rocksteady/modern guilty pleasures...
