Posted on August 27, 2009 | 1 CommentBeck's website is pretty bitchen. Back in June he launched a section called "Record Club" that features weekly videos of Beck and his friends re-recording entire albums. The first one is The Velvet Underground & Nico. Here's what he has to say about it:

Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band
Posted on August 6, 2009 | No CommentsI liked it better when I thought it was called Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Dub Band, but it's not. Here comes the latest reggae tribute from the group that brought you Radiodread and The Dub Side of the Moon. Released in April of this year, Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band is exactly what its title infers - a dubbed out tribute to The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper. -
Intelligence Announce Tour Dates, C4 Steal’s From YANP
Posted on September 2, 2008 | No CommentsOk I'll admit it. This whole post started here, on You Ain't No Picasso, but it somehow turned into something completely different so while I think YANP for the Intelligence track that totally slays one of the crappiest tracks on the entire Magnetic Fields' "69 Love Songs" boxed set, which I love, srsly I do...I have only myself and my wreckless sleep deprivation to thank for the final outcome. Lady Lay – Another Cover of “I Love How You Love Me”
Posted on August 17, 2008 | No CommentsLady Lay: she's cute, she's talented, her voice is delicate and her lyrics charming... she reminds me a lot of a young Cat Power. Lady Lay is a very fresh voice, I'm awaiting an electro track she sang vocals on and as soon as I get it I will post it, should be within the next couple weeks. I'm expecting some great stuff to come from this very talented little gem and if you have a project that you're working on and you would like to record with her don't hesitate

Posted on June 2, 2008 | No CommentsWhile trying to feed my Nico addiction I stumbled across Sally Burtnik's cover of "I'll Be Your Mirror". After watching the video I sat in my room and questioned my sexuality. Then I watched her cover of "After Hours" and decided it was time to do some investigating. -
NO AGE Cover Bjork Classic
Posted on April 9, 2008 | No CommentsThat's right bitches, Radiohead favorites (I can't find the photo of Thom Yorke in the No Age Tshirt!) and Los Angeles natives No Age have released into the wild their cover of Bjork's 'It's Oh So Quiet'. I can remember when I was 15, driving upto San Bernardino to see Pink at the Orange Blossom Festival, and listening to Post in the car all the way from Long Beach. There
