The Walkmen Do Leonard Cohen!

Oh, how glad I am to have run into a treasure of music! I love daytrotter and the many sessions it has to offer, but this one truly stands out. Not only do I have a great amount of respect for the Walkmen, but holy cow, I idolize Leonard Cohen‘s song writing abilities. So the two together make a great combo.

Yes sir, The Walkmen do Leonard Cohen, In the butt, that is. I am grateful to The Walkmen for not butchering some of my all time favorite Cohen Tracks, Nicely done, boys. The four previously unreleased tracks, which include “Lady Midnight,” “Passing Through,” “The Old Revolution,” and “Tonight Will Be Fine” are now available for free download at Daytrotter.

Highlights: All of them, really, these sessions should be your priority right now, forget everything else.
