Something good happened today. I saw Leonard Cohen’s Live in London performance of Suzanne on KOCE and I remembered that I love music. I also remembered that I once had a pretty good website about it. I’m sorry I’ve neglected you for so many months, Weapon!! I’m back, and promise to throw something your way at least 3 times a week, starting now:
This video makes me want to kick myself in the face for not going to see Leonard Cohen when he played in LA a few months ago. In turn, I FINALLY regret not going to see Throbbing Gristle, buying tickets to and not attending the Shellac show at The Echo a few weeks ago, and RSVP-ing but not attending the Penny Ante party headlined by Jad Fair. Are you ready for my excuse?
Things have been SHITTY, man. Waking up sucks, sleeping sucks, eating sucks, breathing sucks, driving sucks…everything sucks. Including new music, old music, and music not yet written. How could I expect myself to go to a show (even if there was no cover) when I really didn’t give a shit about anything? I lost the passion for stuff cause everyday circumstances got really rough. How could I update the site if I didn’t care about what I was writing?
Thank you, Leonard Cohen, for waking me the fuck up!
