Shannon and the Clams vs. Meth Teeth
So last night I saw Shannon and the Clams and Meth Teeth at the Ghost Town Gallery. The Mutators were supposed to play too, but apparently they broke up hours before the show… hopefully they will soon rekindle their love for one another and keep on playing shows.
After the show I met up with Matty from Meth Teeth and we chatted for a bit. I had a pad and paper so here are the results of my attempt to scribble out our really, really, unofficial [drunk] conversation:
Me: Where are you guys from?
Matty: Richland, Washington and Portland, Oregon.
Me: Why the name Meth Teeth?
Matty: It was a joke. I’m really sick of folk music and we want to make fun of one man band, folk bands so this is the unfolkiest name I could possibly think of.
Me: What’s your favorite fast food?
Matty: Taco Bell. Basically anything off the dollar menu rules. I feel like shit after but its like delicious dog food.
Me: I’m thinking about going up to the Pacific Northwest for a bit. Do you like it in Portland?
Matty: It’s nine months of darkness.
Me: Your name is basically the best part about your band. I like it more than Leftover Crack. Which says a lot because I really like that name too.
Matty: Thanks man. I think I’ll jack off to that infinite amounts of times.
