Not as sorry as I was about the Portishead mishap, but sorry enough. See cause like, ‘Bang On’ was kind of a shitty track, so I wasn’t expecting to be too into this record. Truth be told, it’s really good and I’m sorry for all the shit that I talked before I had a chance to hear the whole thing. Really. Cause it’s good. Kim and Kelley Deal on Jonesy’s Jukebox and they said something to the effect of, “Our new album comes out on April 8th, so you can start stealing it now.” Granted, that was WAY after I’d already ‘stolen’ it, if you HAVE to put it that way, but they knew I was gonna do it! But hey, you shouldn’t steal it, cause they also said they need to pay their rent which made me feel kinda shitty again. You should really cruise the 4AD website and buy a legal copy of the real thing. Or like, maybe even go to an ACTUAL record store. I might try that as soon as I start getting paid again. Money rules.
Oh yea and my Los Angeles readers should note the venue change for the Breeders show on April 29th–it will no longer be held at the El Rey or the Fonda or wherever. Now it’s at the Glasshouse. Yea. Sorry. Let me make it upto you with my favorite track off the new record:
