Daily Bummer: BROKENCYDE

 

I’ve been away for like a gajillion years cause nothing has moved me enough to write about it. I think it’s fitting that my first post after such a long absence would have something to do with shit that totally sucks. I can not emphasize it enough: this TOTALLY sucks. I mean, what the FUCK is this shit? I wanted my friend Chris to draw mustaches on their faces in this photo, but I feel like the level of suck is obvious enough – no defacing required.


This ain’t no daily bummer, bitches – it’s more like the bummer of a lifetime. ARE THEY SERIOUS? C’mon watch it. Shit’s like, fall-on-the-floor, curl-up-in-fetal-position, tears-to-your-eyes LAUGH OUT FUCKING LOUD, PERHAPS-SUFFOCATE, AND EVENTUALLY-DIE-OF-ASPHIXIATION, shitty.

 

In the words of a friend – “this is the worst thing to happen to music” (i MIGHT actually take it that far too) and i, too, “hope they don’t breed.” ever.

    Brokencyde are amazing. You people had your time and now its time for us, the new generation, to have ours. They have been such a success. They came from a ghetto area in Mexico and worked their way up. Its about having fun, trash talking and sick beats. They are a talented group of people and im sorry but no amount of haters can take that away from them.

      @Sophiiee ♥: ehh you are definitely entitled to your opinion. but ummm….it’s wrong. this new generation is actually full of some really GOOD music (I used to work at Buzznet so trust me, I know alll about the new tunes) but the fact remains: brokencyde is NOT good. I will definitely respect them for working their out of a mexican ghetto but I also consider them VERY lucky that so many people have such awful taste in music. I don’t like My Chemical Romance or Fall Out Boy either, but at least they are TALENTED. BROKENCYDE are like side ponytails and scrunchy socks – a REALLY bad idea that everyone will get over pretty quick.

    God – spare me the hate spewing “critics”! This music is not about listening to seasoned professional musicians. It’s about these young guys who put sounds together with a keyboard and computer and came up with something cool. It’s about dance beats, trash talking and having a good time. It’s raunchy, sexual, I’m sure it’s making parents toes curl around the world, AND it’s leaving people like you scratching your head saying “wtf?”. Sounds to me like a recipe for success. The next generation is ready to embrace “their” shocker. Posts like this only helps to solidify that perception.

    The video obviously sucked. What to you expect from a zero budget production put together by students? I don’t think anyone’s claiming it to be “MTV worthy”. It was done for the experience, for the fans, and frankly, just for the hell of it.

    granted i could only stomach 6 seconds of that video, still, it’s official, I’m terrified of nightclubs.
