Kevin Shields to Guest DJ at Bar Chloe Tonight
So things finally managed to work themselves out and I will NOT be missing MBV while they’re in town. I”ve been anticipating this shit since like November of last year, when I used to be real up on everything, checking my feeds like 50 times a day and all that good stuff. To tell you the truth, I dono how I did it. Now I can’t even be bothered to write a review of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds at the Hollywood Bowl on the 17th - and yes, I did go.
Anyway, point is, I get to see My Bloody Valentine at the Santa Monica Civic Center tonight, and I’m going ALONE, so I will probably end up somewhere towards the front taking shitty pictures on my cell phone and sending them to Buzznet. Oh, and I’m TOTALLY going to bootleg as much of the show as my little mp3 recorder permits, so you can fully expect to come back in a couple days and see that shit posted for your listening pleasure.
I don’t care if it’s kind of illegal.
In addition to their Santa Monica performance, I heard through the grapevine the Buddyhead twitter that Kevin Shields has agreed to guest DJ at Bar Chloe with Travis Keller, whose DJ skills I kinda totally dissed in a reply to the very same tweet. Sorry dude, but maybe you should mix things up a bit. What do I know though, hmm? I mean, I am co-hosting a Jeffree Star VIP Listening Party at Buzznet tonight, and I should totally write DORK on my forehead.
Bygones will be bygones whether or not you let them, plus I don’t think anyone was really truly insulted, so after 2 nights without sleep, an extremely busy day ahead, a little soiree, and a My Bloody Valentine concert, you will most likely find me having a tres dias cap at Bar Chloe. Come hang. Buy me booze.
