Mute Records release AXOLOTL EYES, but USA, you CANnot have it
Mute Records (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Goldfrapp, Moby, Laibach) released Axolotl Eyes today–the collaborative efforts of Irmin Schmidt (CAN man) and Kumo (the Davey Crockett of break beats)–in Europe, leaving only this to be said for the U.S. “Release dates for U.S. and other areas are scheduled for later in the year.”
Thanks guys, cause like, we don’t matter, right? While I’m sure that’s not what they meant, I’m completely excluded from the chance to win one of 50 autographed and numbered copies of the record because Mute won’t ship releases to the US before the US release date. This has me pretty steeped. Yes, like your tea, UK. (Anybody in Europe wanna buy me one and send it this way? Zuri maybe? Start searching your your filesharing networks and torrents…. NOW! While you’re trying to steal it, use Mute’s Youtube channel to pull dudes/chicks. Watch the 8 gazillion part interview with Irmin and Kumo about Axolotl Eyes so you can say, “I’m really into the afro-cuban folkloric rhythms” and win the heart of that special someone you meet at the rager next Saturday, who asks what you thought of it.
