…way back to about 6 years ago when we ran wild across wide open spaces of grass and cool air somewhere in the great North Country, way back to when we were madly in love with each other, sigh…way back in my dreams that is. I wish I could say this song was about me, but sigh, it’s not.
However, someone FINALLY wrote a good “Ashley” song. Thank God! I hope this song starts playing at places around the world in the same nauseating way that PB&J’s, “Young Folks,” or Gnarl Barkley’s, “Crazy” were. The kind of way where you walk into a place and are trying NOT to think of someone, and then that song comes on and you’re like “fuck, I’m never going to forget said person.” I hope it becomes the inescapable unlikely hit of ’08, and I swear that’s not only because my name is Ashley.
Anyway, you should listen to it, like really. And you should also buy yourself a copy of the Dodos‘ debut album, Visiter on French Kiss Records because it is extremely contagious.
