All right, listen up: Do you live in the Los Angeles area? Got $125? Do you like R.E.M., Modest Mouse, and The National?
If you haven’t gotten your tickets already via the internet presale which started today, April 3rd and ends tomorrow, then your ass best be at your local ticketmaster, or be sitting at your computer this Sunday morning at 10:00A.M. (when tickets go onsale to the general public.) trying to score tickets to the only-announced, upcoming Los Angeles show on May 29th, 2008 at the Hollywood Bowl.
R.E.M. will tour to promote their new album Accelerate which hit U.S. music shelves just 2 days ago (I’m going to be honest here and tell you I haven’t heard it because I work full time and should kill myself for not listening to the album yet, what kind of R.E.M. fan am I?). I promise to hear it today and write a full review asap, or unless any of my other fantastic weapon cohorts would like to take aim at this, please?
Modest Mouse and The National, who both are coming relatively fresh off pretty successsful 2007 album releases, are billed as the opening acts. Really, who would’ve thought? I’m pretty stoked about this tour because I totally love all these bands! Last year I fell completely head over heels in love with The National. But yes, okay, hurry go…your mission is to get tickets to see this bill of total bad asses! And go buy the new R.E.M. album, better yet, buy it for me.

not sure, but i dont think it’ll be worth 125 bucks if you just want to see modest mouse. they’ll be back. R.E.M. may not be.
