The good people of Iceland have proven time again they know how to produce breathtaking experimental, raucous, and avant-garde sounds. Kid Twist is a must-hear and definitely a must-watch, up-and-coming band and they are tearing up record studios in Iceland right now. Their music is noisy, static-ridden, angry, dark, and brooding surf-rock that makes me want to smoke way to many cigarettes and punch holes in my wall. I fucking love it! Kid Twist is unsigned and relatively obscure, so make sure you check out their myspace page and show them some support. Hopefully Americans will express enough interest to lure them to the states so they can take our weak dollar bills before Uncle Sam goes bankrupt. Fuck that! I want to see them in their Icelandic habitat and get wasted with them after a show, and maybe end up like the random dude with his face in Axl’s lap!
